Feb. 14th, 2007 05:54 pmEveryone's rushing out of the office right away, with none of the normal lingering over paperwork that normally happens at close of business. Everyone is excited to get home to their husbands or wives or girlfriends or boyfriends. Balloons and arrangements of red roses are everywhere. I've managed to keep myself going for most of the day on coffee and the pieces of chocolate left on our desks in pink and red plastic bags. Now, I'm about to crumple into a miserable heap.
So I remind you... take some time to think of your ugly friends on Valentines day. Don't make any pandering gestures, but just understand why we might not be as happy as you are on this, the most pointless of all holidays, and forgive for glaring at you when you wish us a cheery happy valentines.
