How great to wake up to a clean(ish) room!

I went to Fred Meyer after work and bought some new pairs of pajama pants, three of them, two of which fit and one of which is very close. Two XLs and one L. The funny thing is, the L fits (and is awesome) and it's one of the XLs that doesn't fit!

My old pajama pants were falling right off.

I also bought a pillow for my bed, some bubble bath, and a Nad's hair removal kit (facial). Much to my disappointment, despite the package stating that it comes with ten backing strips, it came with none. Also missing was the instruction booklet.

So I shall be going back tomorrow.

Weigh-in tonight, I'm not looking forward to it. This week's been murder on the diet, with it being Customer Service Appreciation week at work. They've been showering us with doughnuts and candy, and I have been submitting to their sugary siren's song.

It's just one week, though, and even if I don't lose anything this time, I'm still proud of how far I've come.

Here's an excerpt from a book I'm reading:

"...I hold the phone in my hand, staring zombielike out the window at the good parishioners of St Nicholas's, the dark-haired fathers, mothers, and skipping children in all sizes leaving the church in packs of big greek families. Here are slim women and large women and grandmothers all in black. Yet they are loved. They are with men. Some are married, others not. Yet, they are laughing and complete. Why not me?"

Weigh-in, five weeks.

Well, I gained a half-pound. But I read some articles that say women can gain 2-5 lbs during PMS.

So since I'm getting pretty close to that time, I'm not going to sweat it.

I AM going to start riding the stationary bike at least a little every night. I hope it'll get to the point where it doesn't hurt so badly. I don't remember bicycling hurting so much when I was a kid.
