Jun. 24th, 2008 11:33 pmI've taken steps to overcome my weight loss plateau. The results have yet to be seen, but we'll see. I've started weighing my food again and have reinforced my refusal to eat sugary foods. The second will be much easier now that all of the mini reeses cups are gone from Laura's candy dish at the office.
I've also decided that in addition to the stationary bike, the resistance band work, and the occasional long walk, I will start doing a little yoga in the morning.
I want to clarify. I'm not into the mystique of yoga any more than I'm into using leeches and snake bile to treat illness. What I AM into is improving balance, building lean muscle mass, and effectively using my body in a way that improves its health and strength.
I have this cool move supposedly called "fighting buddha" but that sounds a little cheesy to me, so I just call it the "jackie chan." It's killer for your thighs and core. I also have this cycle involving downward dog, but I mostly call that "triangle." Exhausting. Should be cool, anyway.
I will update on the progress of this choice.
I'm my own weightloss guinea pig!
