Nov. 29th, 2007 10:54 pmLunch for tomorrow is done. I found I had to toss out a lot of food today, which is disappointing to the point of pain. I've been so busy trying to shovel thanksgiving leftovers down my face before they spoil that I wasn't eating a lot of my usual foods, and some of them went bad. I had to toss a package of tortillas, a quarter pound of lowfat mozzarella, and trim the heck out of a head of green cabbage.
Since the cheese got tossed, my three hundred calorie bean burrito is suddenly more like two hundred, which is not really enough for lunch. So I packed lowfat yogurt, an orange, and a pomegranate to make up for it. I should probably toss some edamame in as well.
I ate steak tonight instead of the turkey soup, for no other reason than I had steak in my freezer and really wanted one. I think I can get one more day out of the soup, but after that it'll have to go. I'm a little notorious for keeping food around too long, so I should really just throw it out tomorrow regardless of how much is left. I feel guilty... I really should've eaten the soup, but I've had the soup for three days straight. I'm only human!
I got sucked into the heat up, heat down game while I was sick. I had fever and chills, so of course I would turn the heat up and down in a vain effort to feel comfortable. I realized the other day that I was still doing it... a bad heating habit. So I've set the dial on my baseboard to low and haven't touched it for days. No ice on the windows, so I'm doing fine.
