My sleep problems seem to be worsening. I got up early a couple days to go walking, and apparently the amount of sleep I was getting was just barely enough to keep functioning on, because I missed a couple of hours and was so tired I was weepy and bumping into things like a drunk. I kept falling into little hypnogogic dream-states, not exactly asleep, but not exactly awake either. Such strange visions in these in-between times.

Work is good, although I could swear that they're trying to see how much work they can give me before I finally break. I'm taking calls and doing paperwork like everyone else, I'm handling the service box, I'm on the Cascade Cares committee, and now I'm the only person on Oregon calls from 17:00 - 18:00. In addition to that, I'm on emergency backup during that same hour, and that's not even taking into account random little projects that my supervisor gives me, or the fact that I'm still supply clerk for the Cascade Store, even though they've rotated me out of the Morale committee.

I did some tidying and unpacking today, the house is starting to come together. I hate the futon, but I hate all futons, and Josh agreed that he would be responsible for getting rid of it when we got a new couch. The endtables, coffee table and entertainment center are acceptable. They're cheap, flimsy crap, but I'm really starting to warm up to them.

Josh will be having a houseguest from California for a while. I have my misgivings (which I feel is entirely reasonable given my last living situation), but as he's cleared it with the landlords, I'll ride the current and see where things stand in a couple of weeks.

Well, for what it's worth, I do wish I could help with the 1700-1800 bit, especially on days like yesterday where I didn't get a single call in that period. but it's been drilled into me over and over that I absolutely have to keep the emergency line clear.

Oh, I talked to Tiffany about it today and she says they'll get someone on as soon as they can, but who knows when that'll be, you know? I told her I already queue up some nights and we haven't even hit fall light-up yet. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
