I'm off to bed.

I just snipped up the better part of a pack of cigarettes into the garbage with some scissors. I knew it had to be done because thinking about doing it made me wince.

So here we go again. I'm going to keep doing it until I succeed. Because that's what I've done with everything else, and though it's a sort of a blundering, messy way of achieving success, it works to one degree or another.

I didn't exercise today. I feel bad about it. Not guilty, just regretful. I looked down at the ridged and mountainous topography of my baggy, wrinkled jeans and thought about buying new ones. I should at least go see what size I am.

I'm hoping I can put off new jeans until I'm down to a sixteen, but we'll see. My size twenties are starting to be dangerously big and my size twenty-twos just fall right off me.

Goodnight, livejournal land.

First of all: quitting smoking sucks, and you're doing pretty doggone awesome.

And I feel pretty strongly that no matter what someone's size and which direction they are headed, they should have a few things that they feel good about wearing. Start hitting the thrift stores! It's harder when you're still in plus sizes, but there are things to be had, and that way you don't feel like you're blowing tons of dough.

oh, and the LJ community fatshionista has sales post fridays, so maybe you kind find some good deals there. I know you're unsure of your sizing, but if you can bust out a tape measure, most of the folks will happily take/provide clothing measurements.

Great job on the loose jeans, even though you say you are not losing I forget myself that muscle weighs more than fat so gauge your loss by how your clothes are fitting.
I know I do not need to lose any but I freak out when I gain and workout with fury and do not see any of the few pound I have gained fall off.

The snipping of the cigarettes is a good thing even if you fall down things like that should be little triumphs in your book. You'll get there just like with your diet I am sure it was hard to start without feeling deprived but you got through it right?

Like I said today, I'm proud of you.
What you're doing takes work and the most important thing is that you're trying and actually continuing.
